Providence Tarzana Medical Center issued the following announcement on Dec. 14
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration today authorized the emergency use of the first COVID-19 vaccine. Because the initial supply is very limited, the CDC is directing the first doses to certain high-risk health care personnel, as well as residents and patients in long-term care facilities.
If you are a Providence caregiver, learn more about the safety and efficacy of the vaccine and how you can help us prepare to get the first doses to the front lines as rapidly and smoothly as possible. http://provhealth.org/6187HOajZ
If you are one of our patients, please note that with CDC recommendations, the vaccine is not being offered to the general public at this time. We will keep patients updated when the vaccine is readily available to broader groups. In the meantime, we encourage you to learn more about the vaccine. http://provhealth.org/6188HOajw
