On Saturday, March 8, former Birmingham Community Charter High School standout Efren Ortega’s current college team, the Long Beach State Beach, lost 8-6 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the UC Irvine Anteaters.

The game took place at Cicerone Field at Anteater Ballpark. This was their second matchup against the Anteaters this season.

The Beach’s next game is scheduled for Sunday, March 9 at 1 p.m. at Cicerone Field at Anteater Ballpark against UC Irvine Anteaters.
