On Saturday, March 1, former Birmingham Community Charter High School standout Jorge Romero’s current college team, the Western Illinois Leathernecks, won 11-6 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Alabama State Hornets.

The game took place at Wheeler–Watkins Baseball Complex. This was their second matchup against the Hornets this season.

The Leathernecks’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, March 2 at 12 p.m. at Wheeler–Watkins Baseball Complex against Alabama State Hornets.
