In 2024, California State University-Northridge distributed $4,150,378 in financial aid designated for athletic purposes, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

A total of 170 male and 204 female student-athletes participated in one or more sports teams representing California State University-Northridge in 2024. Male student-athletes received 5.6% less athletically related financial aid compared to their female counterparts.

The amount allocated for athletically related financial aid at California State University-Northridge rose by 5.9% compared to the previous year.
