On Thursday, March 13, former Birmingham Community Charter High School standout Jorge Romero’s current college team, the Western Illinois Leathernecks, lost 5-4 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Illinois State Redbirds.

The game took place at Alfred D. Boyer Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Redbirds this season.

The Leathernecks’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 14 at 2 p.m. at Alfred D. Boyer Stadium against Illinois State Redbirds.
